“Bottle” was the Inktober prompt I used for my VOvember recording session today — it led me to a short story called “World in a Bottle” from a 1960 issue of Galaxy Magazine. Ah, 60s Sci-Fi – nuthin’ quite like it! #VOvember #VOvember2018
November 11, 2018: “Drain”
Today’s VOvember recording prompt, “drain,” led me to recording the forward from an 1859 treatise on draining farm land which (FWIW) I felt a connection to having grown up in an Ag-heavy community. #VOvember#VOvember2018
November 10, 2018: “Expensive”
My VOvember prompt for today was “expensive” which led me to a delightful book from 1900 called “The Ways of Men.” Here’s 45 seconds on the unselfishness of married men. 🙂 #VOvember #VOvember2018

November 8, 2018: Scratching Another Animation Itch
Another itch tonight to record some animation for VOvember. Did it quickly but enjoyed the fun. Again, no formal prompt for tonight’s installment and the text is from animation copy I had tucked in a file drawer. 🙂 #VOvember #VOvember2018
November 7, 2018: Scratching an Animation Itch
For today’s VOvember recording, I had an itch to drop some animation in the mix, so I practiced good creativity habits with this 36 seconds of context-free animation copy I had tucked in a file drawer. 🙂 #VOvember #VOvember2018
November 5, 2018: “Thunder”
Who knew tonight’s VO-vember recording would lead me to Pokemon! 🙂

November 3, 2018: “Double”
So far, the inspiration for each of my VOvember recordings has come from the great “prompts” list provided by the Inktober website (inktober.com). I’ve been working my way backwards through their list, which brings us to today’s prompt: “Double.” Today’s text source: “The Double Four” by By E. Phillips Oppenheim. #VOvember #VOvember2018
November 2, 2018: “Jolt”
For today’s VOvember sound file, if you don’t know what a bathing machine is (I didn’t), you may wanna Google it for maximum enjoyment. 🙂
Today’s prompt: “Jolt”
Content Source: “To the First Bathing-Machine.” (1892)

November 1, 2018: “Slice”
I have a bunch of great artist friends who have been participating in “Inktober” — a drawing every day in October to build/reinforce positive habits in their craft. Awesome, right? It inspired me to do the same thing with my voiceover work — with a tip of the hat to Inktober, I’m calling it VOvember – a wee bit of VO work every day in November to build/reinforce those same positive habits in myself. Here’s the first one. The prompt: “Slice” The source: the 1913 story “Grandfather’s Love Pie” by Miriam Gaines. #VOvember#VOvember2018
